About

Australian food blogger Delicieux

Hi there, and welcome to my kitchen! I’m Jennifer, and I live in Brisbane, Australia with my husband Troy.

I grew up in beautiful Tasmania, also known as the Apple Isle, and this is where my love of food started. It started with quality produce direct from farms – I still remember school holidays spent picking strawberries at one of the local farms. It wasn’t until later in life I realised how spoiled I was with the fantastic quality of food that I was lucky enough to grow up eating.

Despite being a lover of food, there was one food I didn’t love, and that was meat. Eating it always made me feel ill, so at the age of 16 I stopped eating it all together and haven’t looked back! I’m an avid vegetable lover (give me a greengrocer over a candy store any day) and love coming up with new and inventive ways to enjoy vegetables, such as my mushroom wellington and mushroom bourguignon.

My husband Troy joins me on this journey, and despite being an avid carnivore, he not only enjoys, but loves eating vegetarian meals on a regular basis. His favourite of my vegetarian recipes are my Mushroom Quinoa Burgers, and the Tomato Spaghetti featured in my e-cookbook.

Despite a background in both accounting and information technology, my true passion is food, and Delicious Everyday is my sanctuary, where I am lucky enough to be able to share that passion with you.

In addition to my work on Delicious Everyday I am co-founder of Food Bloggers Australia, Australia’s only national food blogging community website connecting brands with bloggers and providing resources, tips and advice for Australian food bloggers of all levels.

I’d love to hear from you, so please feel free to contact me. If you have a question you can leave a comment on a post, or ask a question on Facebook or catch me on Twitter.

About the recipes

As I’m vegetarian the recipes I share here are vegetarian by nature. Quite a few are vegan, and I also share a number of gluten free recipes too.

The recipes you see here come from a variety of sources. Some from cookbooks, some from websites, and others are created by me. Where I have used a recipe from elsewhere, or have been inspired by a recipe, I always try to credit the original source.

If you’ve tried a recipe and loved it I’d love to hear about it. If you’d like to leave feedback, please leave constructive comments in the comments on the recipe page.
