In a large mixing bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients - almond meal, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and pumpkin spice.
In a separate mixing bowl, combine the wet ingredients - pumpkin puree, applesauce, and maple syrup.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients in one large mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.
The consistency may vary slightly based on the specific brands you use. The batter should be thick, but still "pourable". If the batter seems too dry, you can add a little bit of water. And if it seems too loose, you can add a little bit more flour.
Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners. Fill each muffin tin ¾ of the way full with batter.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
